Yoda and Obi-Wan went into hiding to become better Jedi and train Luke/Leia one day. Them going into hiding DIRECTLY led to the end of the Empire and rise of the new Jedi.
Luke went into hiding to do the exact opposite.
If Rian said that Yoda did the same thing as Luke, then that explains TLJ.

I liked it. Also if it wasn't for Baby Yoda healing Carl Weathers we'd be all

He’s always been but they threw it out in Last Jedi.
I just left. I’ll have to say I enjoyed the movie. They did a lot of info dump early on to wash Last Jedi out of our mind but after that it was cool.
