They probably should’ve made this a 2 parter with the first part essentially retconning/doing over The Last Jedi. Ep 8 was a dead end, this movie was bound to be a convoluted mess.

Iger should have read the writings on the wall, when half of a fan base or more is dubbed as the minority in regards to highlighting glaring plot holes and poor plot points shyt like this will happen. Not to mention the obvious arrogance of KK Who needs to go now as she has destroyed the Star Wars franchise in four years.

A lot of reviews saying JJ went away from what TLJ set up are missing that TLJ didn't set anything up worth trying to carry forward. Snoke was dead, Kylo and Hux believeability as the main villains was destroyed half way through the Crait scenes, Rey's nonexistent arc was complete, The First Order had the resistance down to a Millennium Falcon's worth of people. TLJ did a HORRIBLE job as the middle chapter of a trilogy.

In all honesty it tracks back to TFA because JJ is the one who made the audience ask a bunch of questions that Rian didn't give satisfying answers to. He left too much shyt to chance for the sake of mystery and now he has to take the L in trying to retroactively say to the audience, "no,no,no this is how I would have done it!"

Abrams is too obsessed with his mystery box style of storytelling and the questions he asked ended up being similar shyt we’ve seen before in previous movies. Last Jedi has its problems but at least it tried to do something different.

It’s based on mindset and insight, Vader was a Jedi when he died (became Anakin Skywalker again) so was able to ascend into a force ghost. We know from the dialogue that he was already torn between light and dark. Was probably that way since finding out Luke was his son. Remember when Padame died he thought he had lost everything and all semblance of his old self. The force seems to be based on perception and mindset(Buddhism ) the more realisation you have the higher you are able to climb. Remember the initial doctrine of the Jedi was to give up all worldly desires e.g thou shall not love, hate etc...

i mean, i don't blame him, TLJ's entire movie was basically a big fukk you to the Force Awakens... which i actually thought was funny after leaving the theater. I appreciated it, but within a day i realized how fukked up the path of Star Wars had become. it's a mess. shyt, the first line of TFA was a fukk to the prequels. Apparently that's the structure now - each new SW movie is a fukk you to the last one.
