It's a little bit cringey but it makes sense for his character

The last thing he remembered was the fight with Kylo and Rey being unconscious. Not to mention the only reason he went to Starkiller Base in the first place was for Rey. I'm sure he'll start the movie off just worrying about Rey, but eventually his character will start thinking about the bigger picture and develop his own reasons for fighting the First Order. Seems pretty guaranteed and common sense at this point. What we should be concerned about is this b level match between him and Phasma the trailers keep hyping up. The fight won't mean anything unless Phasma really shows out in TLJ and proves why she should be Finn's antagonist instead of Kylo again

On another note, I'm looking forward to seeing whose Rey's parents are. If she turns out to be
