1. That's how it's always been portrayed for the old Jedi order (not the NJO).
2. Pretty sure the the OJO said relationships, not love.
3. I doubt obi wan stuck to it, (especially since he had a semi-relationship in the clone wars which is canon) and introducing offspring in the ST era is a possibility.

Remember Luke is establishing a New Jedi Order based on his teachings from Yoda and Obi. He may change the rules as far as no loving. Also if Luke has a child in this he would have broken the rules himself. I don't think Luke is following the OJO code word for word cause a lot of things were destroyed once the Jedi Temple was attacked in Order 66. I think Luke is following a Journal form Obi that was left behind.

forgive me i don't really fukk with the EU stuff.

it was never implied in the original movies that jedis were forbidden to love. they aren't vulcans. when we first meet obi wan he is clearly shown as a man with a warm heart. someone not above showing compassion. i don't believe for a second that this is a man who's never been with a woman. furthermore i don't believe this is a man who would preach that romance is the path to the dark side. love, family, children... these are things i imagine the jedi would openly embrace. these are the things they are sworn to uphold and protect. peace and harmony, shyt like that.

And you might not fukk with the EU, but just so you know the NJO got rid of that nonsense rule completely, and I would assume that is the direction the ST will go in, so expect to see some Jedi in relationships

not gonna lie of all the things they could do, a Han Solo origin story doesn't feel like a huge priority to me. feels more like fan service.

plus I don't care who they cast, harrison ford is the only person that could be han solo to me. no matter who they get he will never measure up.
