:yeshrug:I think I might like Prequel Trilogy more than the Original Trilogy. I definitely think "Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith" is the Best movie in the entire saga & I prefer the storylines in the prequel trilogy over the Original Trilogy.

ANH and Empire kill anything else in the saga. When Empire was out it was one of the most shocking twists in movie history, with no internet to spoil things. You knew almost nothing of the force when Yoda trains Luke. The force was truly mysterious and you barely had seen any use of it. The Yoda stuff is legendary. The great escape from Hoth only to be captured by someone you thought was a friend. Vader using that to lure in Luke. Then the intensity of the lightsaber duel. It wasn't fancy, but the intensity hasn't been matched. Watch how hard Vader was swinging after toying with Luke. The bad guys winning in a big movie like that with the good guys barely escaping with their life? Han didn't even escape. Imagine seeing that with no expectation or idea of what was coming. Shyt was crazy. That's why its always a top 20 on these lists of top movies. Great movie.

People that knew Star Wars could see RotS coming from a mile away and they tried to fit way too much in that movie after wasting the first two.

I hope both of them have the Force.
They gonna have interracial space sex.

The result?

Star Wars Episode 9: Obama in Space.

He gonna need something to do equally epic after becoming the first Black president.

Wow yall really like this huh.

I could see why this did numbers in the 70s and 80s tho.

-DMP-

I'm sure if it came out today it would just get buried along with everything else,. No franchise even gets the chance to grow or breathe like that anymore. Too much saturation. Everything would be spoiled. Too many critics trying to make a name for themselves trying to blast the movie. People are cynical these days too even though there is less shyt to be cynical about. Even people started loving it, you'd see a counter movement. I am very curious about what being created today is going to be big enough to redo in 30 years. Could something like Marvel or DC, or the Star Wars or even Transformer universe start today?

That twist is spoiled for everyone who has never watched "Star Wars" by Pop Culture. I watched "The Empire Strikes Back" for the first time back in 2006, when I was 17. I already knew that Darth Vader was Luke Skywalker's father because that scene was referenced so often in Pop culture when growing up.

:yeshrug:Also I watched the "Star Wars" movies in chronological order instead of watching them in the order they came out. So I don't hate the prequels like a lot of fans do.

Confession: I've never seen a Star Wars but for some reason I want to see this one. Should I start with these old shyts?

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Never seen any of the films before, one of my boys sent me the link to the new trailer and it looked absolutely piff :ehh:
