I don't understand how this is a rehash when it's a completely different storyline. Visual homages in the film doesn't make it a rehash. Just fanboys being annoying fakkits looking to complain.

i been away to long, my feeling died.
Lets be honest here , this will crush all competition out now. The two most anticipated movies combined won't make what this will. This is going do Avatar and Avengers combined box office. Christmas and New Year's Day right around the corner when it drops. Guaranteed the first week at almost every theater going be sold out. If it plays at iMax in Manhattan I'm prepared to pay top dollar for first night midnight show.

As for is this "THE ORIGINAL TRILOGY REMIX". Listen JJ Abrams is known for being heavily influenced by Lucas and Spielberg. With "Super 8" that was his love letter to Steven. "Episode VII" is his love letter to George. Yes JJ isn't reinventing the wheel. It seems a lot of the ships aren't "New" just updated from the Original Trilogy. With that said the movie has a completely different feel and vibe than the Original Trilogy or the Prequel Trilogy. Is he doing some "Nostalgia" Nods, sure. That last scene with Han and Chewie was clearly to appeal to people like me that grew up on the original Trilogy. John and Daisy are there to bring in the youth. Overall I wasn't happy with them throwing out Lucas's outlines so I'm concerned about the story. But there is no doubt in my mind JJ captured the FEEL of Star Wars with both of those teasers.
