The prequels tried to do something new and failed.

TFA did something very familiar and succeeded.

I loved it and I look forward to seeing it again. Only problem is all the wasted potential. Mainly in regards to Finn & Poe. I realize this is Rey's story but come on. The "villain" wasn't really a villain at all and I liked that. Kylo Ren is a complex, tortured soul who's quite literally being torn between the light and dark side. I anticipate getting more of his backstory.
