you know what 3d is, Imax (to me) is more a mindset than anything else. The room is like an auditorium, they say the sound is more enhanced and it has the biggest cinema screen there is which is all valid but the so called Imax experience is all mental
a more technical person can explain but avatar and tron (I think) are like the only movies that were filmed specifically for 3D making them real 3D. All these other flicks you can see in 3D were adapted post production thus making them fakes
