watch the original trilogy now. don't worry about the prequels.

yes they're old, yes some of the effects are outdated. the first movie is hokey as fukk. just try and immerse yourself in the story.

the rebellion, the empire, the light side, the dark side, the force, lightsabers, space battles, and crazy mythology.
