din djarin and “The child” are way more popular than Rey, Finn, and Poe. That’s crazy considering all 3 movies made over a billion.

Dunno about "way more popular" but its true no one really gives a fukk about Finn or Poe. Rey sure, there's definitely a fanbase there...but is she an iconic character x years from her introduction, similar to the way Han/Luke/Leia were a year after the last Star Wars film in the 1980s? Hell no.

You can say what you want about the prequels but there were a lot of good elements and stories that came out of them.
It's hard for me to think of anything positive that will come out of this trilogy. Even the Knights of Ren turned out to be disappointing.
At the very least the prequels laid down some interesting backstories for the series.

The new trilogy feels like they were made by a bunch of people who went with what sounded cool on paper with complete disregard for lore.

Disney grunt: "Let introduced a female main protagonist and have her do all kinds of cool jedi shyt :gladbron:"

Star wars fan: "This bytch was never trained in the way of the force, how is she doing all this shyt?:leostare:"

Disney grunt: "Let's get rid of the jedi and sith plot and make a movie about subverting expectations by doing the exact opposite of what all logic suggests. the shock from the twist will make everyone love it:wow:"

Starwars fan: "Did they really just throw away 7 movies worth of plot building and left us with nothing?:dwillhuh:"

Clearly the people in charge of this mess has no understanding of the star wars franchise or its appeal.

But after how the prequels were received, why would they be so careless?
Agreed, 100%....should of had one person do the outline of the trilogy with one person (or writing team) write and direct all three movies. They hot shotted shyt for no reason. 3 movies..released 3 years apart with one vision.
