who really gives a damn :yeshrug:

sequel trilogy is complete garbage. I'll be surprised if the brand ever recovers... but looking at some of those high republic covers. ehhhhh.. they definitely need to sideline kathleen

I'm still trying to figure out how they messed this one up so bad.:mindblown:

creating a trilogy with no trilogy outline
letting the 2nd director basically nuke everything that was built up from the 7 movies before it
and finally... white woman doing her dumbass white woman power thing :pachaha:

I know it’s the cliche thing to say but it really does fall on Kathleen Kennedy. What’s the point of hiring creative directors with a strong vision of you’re gonna micromanage every thing they do? She should let the jump street dudes cook with Solo but she got shook and ended up doubling the production costs on a movie nobody really wanted just for it to flop. Now if she would’ve trusted Lord & Miller then not only would they have saved 100 million or so in costs it prob would have resulted in a better product that might have generated some positive word of mouth and made more money.

Sadly and ironically the one time she let the director cook was with Rian Johnson who she just honestly caught bad luck with. Most of his movies I fukk with but he just let his ego get the best of him with Star Wars and made some shytty decisions because he wanted to leave his mark on the franchise.

But imo Star Wars falling apart is all on KK. The one project everyone wants, the Obi Wan series, is already being fukked up by her. She needs to let the creative people cook and stop trying to write scripts based of data and the target demographic.

I agree with alot of this, its too bad george put her in charge instead of Filoni (if Filoni even wanted it to begin with)

No Whammies!!
:ehh:Who cares
Totally Forgettable :snooze:

Last month a friend of mine asked me what I thought of the new Star Wars movie.
I froze up like ... :dahell: "What new Star Wars movie?"
-"The one that JUST came out"
-:what:"You mean, The Madalorian? That's a TV show!"
-"No, the NEW Star Wars movie"
-:wtf:"That's not new! It came out last year.........:ohhh: Oh, wait a minute, there was a new Star Wars movie!"

Apparently, I had blocked the entire existence of "The Rise of Skywalker" completely out of my mind.
I've seen every Star Wars movie, and that movie basically made the same amount of impression on me as "The Ewok Adventure":

You can say what you want about the prequels but there were a lot of good elements and stories that came out of them.
It's hard for me to think of anything positive that will come out of this trilogy. Even the Knights of Ren turned out to be disappointing.
You just named the most positive thing to come out of the new trilogy:
It's making a lot of people re-evaluate the Prequels.
