Finns a Calrissian, Windu or Kenobi. Since the casting was colorblind, I'm still choosing Kenobi.

Though I'd be major impressed if he were a Shmi relative/Luke's grandkids.

I think Finns a Panaka. Related to the Naboo Security Forces Captain Quarsh Panaka from Ep.1 and 2.

In the Star Wars Legends which is now non-canon. Panaka eventually became a Moff in the Galactic Empire. Disney could possible still pull from this event. Finn could possibly be his son or grandson which would explain why he would have ties to the empire/first order but still have a recognizable name.

If they are going to keep it fam, he could be a Leonis. Zare was a stormtrooper and his sister was force sensitive. He is all over the new Canon books around the time of Rebels.
