No Whammies!!
Look at Andor's native people
Look at the majority of the poor folks on Morlana One
Look at who's at the senator's parties
Look at who's at that giant ISB round table
:manny:

Something else..

In Revenge of the Sith each "flying saucer" thing in the Senate was filled with different aliens.

Now, in this show it's down to a couple of humans in each one.

Palpatine has definitely been purging out the 'diversity' from the elites.

I'd just assumed it was budgetary but that explanation works for me. I mean shyt, the torture doc was just telling us about a genocide they committed.

If you want to read the story as some lone feminists trying to make their way up the Space Nazi bureaucracy, I'm not stopping you...

I just think it's a stretch.

The last few eps have lost me. This has no business being 13 eps. Did no one learn from the Netflix marvel shows?

My question is if Disney is capable of producing this quality of content for a Star Wars show, why did they use it on Andor? Why couldn’t Boba Fett or Kenobi receive this type of TLC?
Because Andor was a pet project of Tony Gilroy and his brother. This is a dude that single handily saved Rogue One from being a disaster and made it both a big box office hit as well as critically praised. Pretty sure breh had way more creative control than any other Star Wars project that doesn't involve Favreau and Filoni. Case in point: Gilroy didn't use The Volume during production and was able to use practical sets for the whole show.

I'm really curious on how Filoni is able to pull off the Ahsoka show. To me that's gonna be the litmus test for future Star Wars show. I don't expect Disney to give people the freedom to make a serious "prestige" drama like Andor unless a dude like Gilroy pitches them a story they want to do. But I do expect Disney to green light a lot of stuff like Ahsoka.

Well Disney should give him the keys to a show about the Sith. Great show but I can’t get invested in the Andor character when I know he was a replacement for Kyle Katarn. Extremely petty but Kyle got my into Star Wars when I was a kid :russ:

I'd love Gilroy to take on a story focused on the Force and it's lore but I think dude is way more interested in current real world themes that can be explored in a Star Wars setting, and I'm not sure Sith nor Jedi are his priorities.
