nahhh... the pacing has been perfect. Compare the pacing here to those Marvel shows... where it's a decent 1st ep. followed by 5 eps of setup and then a mehh payoff
Just trending towards a rushed ending to the series. After the first two episode establishing his character backstory and motivations, Episdoes 3-4-5-6 were dedicated to the heist mission. 7-8-9-10 to escaping prison. so they'll have two episodes left after that to make all the storylines intersect and conclude the season, and we still have the open thread of him finding his sister. plus this is supposed to lead right into rogue one so there might be a 5 year time jump between this season and next season.

it's not just about budget.. it's how u use it. There's movies that cost $50M but are better visually than a $200M+ project..
True but I think Disney knew that they would need to make this show objectively great for it to do well since hardly anyone prior to this show gave a fukk about Andor. My question is if Disney is capable of putting a show like this together wouldn’t it make more sense to use it on a character more compelling?

It's the fact that he's not a space wizard samurai is what makes the show good.

None of the usual Star Wars BS (Deus Ex Machina) is in this series. And we already know Andor dies.

So because there are no light sabers and the Force, and no toys to sell, they can actually do something with the story.

nah Obi-Wan should have been a 2-hour movie... same wit Boba Fett. But they wanted content for Disney+

i would guess the prison escape intersects with Dedra somehow. Plus season 2 already green lit
yeah, i assume they will meet up sooner rather than later.

i have a sneaking suspician mon mothma's daughter or husband is gonna end up snitching on her at some point forcing her to fully join the rebellion. but that might not happen until next season.

This is exactly what's on my mind every time I watch a new episode. They make it look so easy with this show. If they can knock it out of the park like this, then they have no excuse for trash like Boba Fett.

I agree with this take as well, but that doesn't account for the Boba Fett show. Mando has been good, but suffers from the Baby Yoda toy marketing conundrum as you mentioned, but Boba Fett should have been much less restricted by that kind of thing. No one was going to buy toys of those goofy brightly colored hover-vespas.

The rest of Disney's shows are trash because they don't need to be good

Ppl will praise them any way

Obi Wan admittedly had way more positive reviews than you would assume after watching it, but Boba Fett was pretty heavily trashed.

I get your point, but making bad shows hurts the brand and making good shows elevates the brand. That should be reason enough, really. Andor is really cleaning up after some of these duds tbh. I actually put off watching it when it first dropped because I assumed it was going to be more trash from them. I'm sure there's a lot of people out there who thought the same, but never actually ended up tuning in like I did.

No Whammies!!
predictions:

vel is gonna to get caught - rumbling luthen and mon
luthen is not going to let them take him alive
mon is going to tell her husband what she really thinks of him to his face
syril is going to find cassian
the diary/notebook is at cassian's mother's house
tay is gonna die
saw's forces are going to rescue andor and mon
kino is gonna die

Here's my prediction:
After Andor breaks out, Dedra blasts his wanted poster all over the galaxy once she connects the dots between the embarrassing theft and the embarrassing prison break.

The rebels who want to kill him catch up to him. They're ready to follow orders and take him out, but because he's the ONLY rebel known across the galaxy under his real name they can't. Because Dedra's efforts to track him down have inadvertently turned him into the one true folk hero of all the separate Rebel factions.

The name "Andor" basically become Robin Hood.

Next season supposed will have multiple time jumps. The pacing sounds like it's going to be totally different in s2.

Wait, she's playing this character like there is rampant sexism in The Empire?

Feel some type of way about that.

Cause it suggests other 'isms....
Look at Andor's native people
Look at the majority of the poor folks on Morlana One
Look at who's at the senator's parties
Look at who's at that giant ISB round table
