What a great scene... love the politics at play

Crazy to think there’s 6 more episodes left
Black people have been taking L's left and right in this series. They killed off three of the four brehs already, one of them even got hanged in this episode the only surviving breh and over here getting sonned by his subordinates. They had Vel kinda looking like Kim Wexler in her scene.
Great use of dramatic irony in the second scene with Cassian and Maarva.
That scene with Mon Mothma and her childhood friend was also great. Bringing back the politics to Star Wars.
Black man doing his job well and following protocol = bad
White woman breaking protocol and getting ahead = good
Least Cassian ain't get clapped up like his pops tho. Just got hit with 6 years.
Also love the 3 episode arcs structure so far.
Maarva still feels guilty for taking Cassian away from his family. I felt she was more afraid at the slight chance his sister is alive and would tell him what really happened than anything else
Taking em back to the clone worse days with the three episode arcs.
Maarva said she's down for the rebellion. His sister has to be alive and I'm sure Maarva knows this. Maybe his sister is not down for the rebellion? Maybe she's on some Riva shyt and joined the enemy. And Maarva knows that'll break Cassian's heart.

Imperials were supposed to be based on the nazi's. hence why you never saw aliens in their ranks in the og films. I appreciate representation, but i always felt like the rebellion was the spot for that, the empire being exclusively white and male dominated actually made more sense than how it looks today with it being basically just as diverse as the other side. But the current showrunners don't really understand the lore like that, and they not savvy enough to a portary a black imperial officer being viewed like c00nye by his family. So i essentially just take it as the xenophobia was retconned.Ive seen some saying they think the writers are purposefully trying to show bias against black and brown characters to empasize the colonial aspects. Even the language of the Imperials officers and some of the actions that have been mentioned have real world analogs. Loved the line about the rebels not operating in regards to their artificial borders right in front dude that drew the lines. All he could do was
