Discovery burned me so bad that it's hard to trust anything since. They have a good trailer team that can build excitement for the most disappointing output. Remember these?
That second one had me beyond excited. A ship that looked like the Enterprise model they were going to use for the scrapped first film'Planet Of The Titans'?!?! fukk me, I'M IN!
S31 never achieved that though. Those trailers and the social media marketing were terrible.

I wish we would have gotten Lower Decks Season 6 rather than this shyt 
For a few seasons now it was speculated by star trek online fanbase that Mariner served on the Enterprise D during the time period the TNG show takes place.... LD writers never got the chance to acknowledge that 
Lower Decks writers def had a ear to the Star Trek online community, I remember when Harry Kim cameos from various universes and on the show someone asked one of the Harry's what did his Janeway do with Tuvix Tuvix episode is a VERY controversial among trekkies. Not to mention the online fanbase constantly complaining about Harry never getting a promotion on Voyager which was also acknowledged in the LD episode.

She served on DS9 during the war and I think if she had served on the Ent-D it would have been referenced in the episode with Sito Jaxa or the ep with Sonya Gomez although we don't know how long she stayed on board after the 'coffee incident' Geordie looked ready to put her in an escape pod there and thenI wish we would have gotten Lower Decks Season 6 rather than this shyt
I think the budget was $80m for this, I reckon you could have got 2 more years of LD for that. EASILY.

. God damn this shyt was .
Everything about it felt embarrassingly cheap. A lot of the camera cuts and editing are very weird and make the whole movie feel wonky and low budget. It looks like a cross between a YouTube fan film from like 2013, an old Syfy Channel show, and that cheap ass Guardians of Justice show on Netflix. You would have thought The Asylum produced this shyt.
None of the characters except Georgiou and Omari Hardwick get any real development or backstory, and they just get some corny, unfunny quips that even The Orville stopped doing past season one. It also feels like nothing is happening for most of the movie until the third act, probably because they didn't have the budget to do anything interesting with the Mirror Universe.
This was originally supposed to be a show and it feels more like a pilot than a movie, especially the ending. I doubt this does well enough to get any sequel of any kind tho, and I don't how or why Ghost from Power is in this but I doubt he's committing to any more of these.
I get why this movie got so many bad reviews, and I could see this being an early contender for worst movie of 2025, but I know there's a big chunk of them calling the movie 'woke' for having two black guys star in it or some shyt.
