...........I'm a die hard Trekkie

but I'm having a hard time getting the willpower to watch this

is it any good? be honest brehs

Also die hard and struggling to have any enthusiasm for this or get much enjoyment from it. A true die hard would have watched this from day one though!

There are things that will appeal to you but there will be A LOT that won't. A big issue of mine is that the dialogue is very American. Doesn't help that the crew all have American accents as well. Even the non American actors. That's a huge let down for me. Voyager's crew all seemed to be variations from the American continent as well.

There are huge canon issues but I can't be arsed going into them.

As mentioned by another poster there is a theory going around about the species of the Red Angel. When I saw the stained glass window I thought it looked really familiar. Although never seen on screen, the Iconians have been mentioned a few times and their 'gates featured in both TNG & DS9, the latter having a superb O'Brien speech just before they go to the planet.

I'm worried for the future of Trek. They're trying to send it the way of that Marvel crap. The Picard series has him no longer in Starfleet which was pretty much a given. Frakes has hinted at involvement but staying tight lipped.

Then there's Lower Decks, The Academy series, The Khan series, the Georgiou led Section 31 series & a second as yet undetailed animated series. Obviously it's a long term plan but it's too much.

As many series announced in the space of a year as there were in the 50 previous. Calm down CBS. With the inevitable merger of CBS/Paramount it will open up even more possibilities.
