Yeah it's good to have it confirmed. Looking forward to it but hope it's of better quality than DSC.

I think Stewart said something like he would only come back if the there was a good story to tell. I have my hopes up. Discovery has had a lot of problems at the top, with all the different showrunners. The first season was really a convoluted piece of work that felt patched together.

2 names have been registered by CBS.

Star Trek: Destiny & Star Trek: Reliant.

Destiny could likely be the Picard series. Unknown if it refers to the post-Nemesis book series though.

As for Reliant, it could be connected to Meyer's Khan series as that was the ship he comandeered but can't see how it could fit into the pre-TWOK timeframe. Possible training ship for academy cadets?

Also, DSC has it's actor for Spock. Ethan Peck, grandson of Gregory will be playing him.

I don't want any more shows set in the past. I want them to time jump and give us a show set in the future after TNG.

They aren’t gonna kill Spock so I hope they have something substantial that requires his character to be there.

Discovery evolved into Cortana.

I think part of the problem is that the effects look too good for Star Trek.

Also Peck isn't doing a Nimoy impersonation the way Quinto was doing.

Say a show that is based far in the future has visuals that are too good for it brehs.
