blathering blatherskite!
The trademark doesn’t mean anything, it just another name for Team Asano. They do both new games and they work on remasters.
Square Enix are doing remasters for a simple reason, they have a huge back catalogue of highly desired classic games. I’m not even sure what you’re arguing aobut, theres nothing weird about publishers remastering games. Capcom just dropped the Mega Man Battle Network, but if i bring that up you just move the goalpost.
So to summarize:
You: why are square remastering and remaking so many games
Me: a lot of publishers are, AAA games take a long time so they are utilizing their back catalogues to fill in release gaps
You: why are you mentioning other publishers?
Me: because they are all doing it
You: but square called it a specific thing
Me: but its the same thing in the end, they are just remastering old games
You: show me where other publishers are calling their remasters something different
me: why does it matter
You: it does matter
Me: why
You: because it does
