I think you missed what he said, he said based on Star saying thwt they went thru a list of names and got to him at the end, that made Complex look desperate to make a hire. shyt, just going off of Star's own timeline he got hired right at the last minute. Dude made those comments about Nadeska on NYE and said he made em thinking he would never work with her, he just got the job last week. From just getting the job to going straight to production on air in a week is pretty crazy and seems like Complex had to reach to hire him.

Nadeska always sent shots at nikkas. Her and Joe constantly teamed up on Ak, and she stayed shooting at Joe for his fashion choices and being curmudgeonly as hell. I think Star is just such a different personality from Joe and obviously they got off on the wrong foot, but just like we saw before, if Star sticks around, they'll find a good balance at some point...maybe.

Overall I'm liking Star here. Joe's theatrics and yelling will be very missed though. Star is incredibly thorough and reckless though, so I think the fukkery will still be top-level

this isn't as rare as one would think. A lot of these new kids don't really listen to hip hop like that. They sure love to pretend though, and get furious when you know more than them They dikkride a rapper or two, and celebrate whatever's poppin, but they're not really looking at the entire landscape and digging deep. They just don't care about the artform like that. Everyone's in their bubble. Turn up cats know about turn up cats. Cloud rap cats know only about cloud rap. Fake deeps bump fake deeps and trap.

Which is why it's hilarious when a younger cat on here tries to tip-ride me. I told most on The Coli that Metro Boomin was by far the best new producer on the scene a few years ago. Coli posters were like: yeah, you're an idiot because there's still Southside, random producer, random producer, random producer, etc. Cats will say anything to appear to be in the scene when in fact they're not really listening deeply.

What I’ve noticed for the past few episodes is that Ak tries to puff his chest out to Star verbally and Star catches it and breaks his ass down every time.

I also notice that Star isn’t on social media like that and saves his energy for his podcast/the show so that helps him out a bit.


However i still feel this shyt is on burrowed time. The show isn’t gonna last..
