A dude that played at University of San Diego learned me good one day. I was the MAN at my old neighborhood home court until one day this scrawny white dude showed up one Thanksgiving. He gave me buckets all day wasn't shyt I could do. I mean he didn't defend that good but it wasn't shyt I could do when he had the ball. That's when I knew how big the gulf was between the best dude on the playground and a regular college basketball player

here's what i know about SVG:

-got his ass ran out of ORL
-got his ass ran out of DET
-got his ass ran out of NOLA
-was nicknamed the "master of panic" by shaq
-proved shaq right by making adjustments to how his team played BEFORE the series began against the 2010 boston celtics, resulting in a loss
Dwight Howard ran SVG out of Orlando. He’s a beloved figure here and the fans didn’t want him fired. So I have no idea what ur talking about

Shiiiiit I don't know what happened at those other spots but I'd DEFINITELY take him back in NOLA knowing what I know
Orlando fans didn’t want him fired. Howard and him were bumping heads and the executives(who are losers and don’t know what they’re doing hence us being fukking awful for like a decade now) chose to fire svg then Howard demanded a trade and suddenly they didn’t have a coach or Star player.

SVG has and always will be a beloved figure in the Central Florida area. Dwight Howard… not so much

so he got run out of ORL.....like i said....
False, management made a poor decision and chose wrong. There was no push from the fans to fire him

I was there for this, it wasn’t a popular decision with the fanbase and to this day most believe it was a mistake.

You probably didn’t know any of this shyt tho but you’ll speak on as if you do

I said "SVG was run out of orlando"

your exact reply said "Dwight howard ran SVG out of orlando"

you confirmed what i said......

so let's get it straight. Did SVG get run out of orlando (like we BOTH said) or didn't he...?

Making it is one thing. Playing at least couple years is a whole another thing. You might be physically gifted, but if you can't read the game fast enough, if your work ethic is not on point, you'll be in Europe/Asia playing with other rejects.

Stan is right. Johnny Davis was the best player in the Big 10 just last year. One year later he is the worst player in the NBA. That's how talented the NBA is.

shyt you can see it with women too. Outside of just an overwhelming gap in athleticism/physique, a D2 gyal is working a lot of nikkas in pickup.

I played intramural bball against an elite SEC DE (prob like 6’3, 260ish) and watched a SEC 2 guard hoop later that day. It ain’t just being tall, big whatever

What’s crazy is he’s only like 33…. The NBA just changed and he was outta there in a hurry
NBA is a lot like evolution man. An archetype that was a fukking monster at a time (the muscle bound, hustle forward) can just disappear 3 years later. Nene was starting for conference finals teams at one point.

You only got a few dudes like that now and most of em ain’t starter quality. Paul Reed looks like a make a wish kid whenever he plays against even a decent opponent
