Funny thing is, white people never say "lets get rid of Univision", because they know what they deal is.

Yep. Or Telemundo, UniMas, Galavision, MTV Tres or Logo(focusing on the LGBT community) and yet black folks can't have BET and TV One? I'm not even complaining about those channels but for some reason black folks can't have a channel.

BET has been garbage for awhile but it amazes me how c00ns and white folks always use that discrimination BS about BET. Black people only have two networks for us(yes BET is white owned but it still caters to black people) but hispanics have Telemundo, Univision, and other networks catering to them but you never hear them say shyt about it. We got Hispanic Heritage Month, Irish-American Heritage month in March, Jewish American month in May, and other cultures/ethnicities but nobody says anything about but black people having anything for ourselves is a problem.

if you create a black version of everything it is in effect self segregation

i thought this was what we were fighting against.......the effort instead should be in getting more blacks on conventional tv ........thats the real fight................self segregation is a trap set to placate us from wanting more

Do you not understand that black schools, tv channels, history month, etc. were created because we TRIED to integrate into these institutions and were DENIED. So we started our own, because if we didn't we would not have had anything, relying on wht people to include us.

My mother (now a doctor), at the age of 7, had to ride her bike miles, past at least three wht only schools to go to a black school because it was the only one she could attend if she was to learn. Without it, she would have remained uneducated and powerless!!
