Dawg, here's the thing that gets to me and my nikka @DrX been saying this but I got to say it again.
You probably had the talk from the folks about how we got to work twice as hard to be considered half as good. That's why we're twice as better as everyone else and they're only half as good as us.
The truth is white privilege and white supremacy give white people passes for being average, below average, and just plain mediocre. Whenever a black man or woman succeeds in any of their avenues they truly have no equal because of the collossal roadblocks put in their way.
They know it, that's why they still want those roadblocks to be there cause they are truly threatened by competition.
I'd like BET to go in a route to showcase black faces on television in different ways.
I'd feature these shows on the Network.
Focus on different groups of black people who have different interests.
1.Have a movie night of course, they usually do this anyway.
2. You want reality TV? Bring back College Hill. I though it was a good alternative to Real World. Was entertaining. The first season of Hell Date was funny too.
3. Have Def Comedy Jam as well as Def Poetry Jam featured
4. Bring back Rap City for the music block. Also bring back Midnight Love
5. Cartoons/Anime, tv dramas, music, reality tv, sitcoms, poetry, stand up comedy, sit down discussion shows, a show about video games, a cooking show, a fitness show, a hair show showing how to take care of black hair(men and women) and also showing grooming tips for both men and women,etc.
Our race is diverse, that needs to be showcased.
Have an animation block for the younger ones too.
I miss proud family. Don't forget about the oldtimers/black Hallmark Channel watchers. Probably need to throw in Sanford and Son and The Jeffersons. Also some In the Heat of the Night episodes...shyt Detective Tibbs is the only reason why I have 1/2 a teaspoon of respect for shyt ass law enforcement.
I doubt BET will ever air boondocks though after that Huey vs. BET episode

We're constantly badgered to include others in our operations and establishments, yet others do not and have had their own insular institutions for eons and have no intents of letting others in.
Some of us can confront reality and not have it ruin our day.
And this c00n bytch and Stephen A smith need to get together and form Ultra c00n.
Again, it's all an effort to control the autonomy of blacks and have them at the whims of others desires no matter how self-serving, grandiose, and hypocritical they may be.
That's what it's about really...
They (I mean, everyone outside of us) want us to have....NOTHING.

People really think segregation ended huh? America is still very much segregated by class and race.
Only black people believe in this integration thing. Continue to do that and continue to be at the mercy of others.
Meanwhile other races have their own established entities and are self-sufficient and don't have to rely on others.
Been to multiple countries and the bolded is true. The segregation in America is world class.
Truth be told I think integration will always have a bias in favor of white people in this country
Then again black people don't have a community like Jews or Asians do, so perhaps there is a stronger need for integration for blacks compared to other groups.
But you can't keep crying to white people for looking out for themselves more than anyone else...that will never change.
Then again you can't sit around and take blatant disrespect, otherwise it will only get worse.
