I have had dealings with her. Enough to believe wholeheartedly that she is a good person and a sincere soldier in the fight for black equality. I don’t agree with every single thing she says (she thinks that Cube>>>> Nas which I simply cannot sanction) but she puts in more work than most “pro black” internet staples who claim to be about that life.
So the answer is no, you don't know this person personally. You vouching for her means nothing.
On a side note, get off Nas dikk gotdamn.
My feelings regarding the “black women suffer double” mentality is Simple. Yes and No.
This is just you talking out of both sides of your mouth. It's either yes black women suffer double because of being black+female, or it's no they don't.
In the eyes of white supremacy, we, as both black men and women are nothing but dogs to white society. There is no such thing as “black male privilege” nor “black female privilege”. We are ALL in the same boat and we will NEVER gain a true foothold against the American institution of black racism until we realize this.
This completely contradicts this chic's "black women are attacked double" comment. That comment clearly implies that black men do have privilege and that black women are more oppressed than black men. If you acknowledge that there is no black male privilege then how can you even partially cosign someone saying that black women have it worse than black men? It's one or the other.
I see that the chic dapped your post and I would be interested to see her reconcile the contradiction.
Now, within the American black community, I
do feel as is if Black women have a legitimate gripe with black men (not ALL black men before some ass hurt simp gets in their feelings) when it comes to the mindset of black men towards our women. White supremacy has severely warped our perception of black masculinity to the point where I can honestly say it was crushed through the 400 years of brainwashing, subjugation, and emasculation. The American black male is basically reinventing himself, painstakingly teaching himself not only how to view himself within a society that has been conditioned to eradicate his esteem, but also how to view his female counterpart. Black women see this. They feel our pain, our struggle, our journey towards salvation. And they not only must bare that, but also must live with the trauma they themselves have suffered through 400 years of rape and degradation. So in a sense, yes I can completely understand why a sista would say that black women suffer double. Because not only are they baring their suffering, they are helping to shoulder ours.
Blah blah bullshyt. You're being dishonest trying to change the narrative just like trump and his supporters do. This isn't about black women having legit gripes with some black men bruh, so why would you pretend that it is? Black men and women both have legit gripes with each other. It's not a one-way street.
This is about how for the last 40+ years black women have created an entire movement based on the false premise that black men have privilege over black women and are oppressors of black women. Her saying that black women are attacked double makes it evident that she shares that point of view and that's a huge problem.
You all can get in your feelings like little girls all you want, but it doesn't change the validity of what I'm saying. I'm not attacking this woman personally. I'm simply criticizing her comment and the mindstate that it reveals. This black feminist mentality that's based on lies is sabotaging the community and black men who ignore it or brush it off are complicit.
This is why we're a pseudo matriarchal community that's completely weak and dysfunctional. Most black men simply don't have the courage and intelligence to stand up and check the bullshyt. Black women have been ingrained with this feminist mindset partly because black men who know better have just sat back and allowed the bullshyt to be perpetuated for so long. Black women have been running around around telling this lie that they have it worse than black men and that black men oppress them for decades. Black men have just sat back and let them with little to no push back. Cats like you take it even farther and actually defend the bullshyt. You know that what she said is untrue but you're going to defend her anyway
You even go so far as to be deceptive and try and change the narrative to "black women are just saying that they've got some gripe with some black men and they just want us to hear them out". You're lying. Black feminism is all about black women using their gripes with black men as an excuse to side with white liberals against black men. These "black men are the whites of the community......y'all oppress us" articles are proof. That's the sentiment that they've been pushing for the last 40+ years and it's nothin but a deflection to white supremacy cloaked in "legit gripes". That's the truth and you should have the courage to acknowledge it.
Breh stop.
I'm not
@Marc Spector or
@Thomas.
I actually agree here and I actually dismiss any black feminist that claims black women have it harder than black men or are "oppressed" by black men.
I'm not supporting any movement, breh.
I just find validity in black women's study of their unique oppression. Black women should be able to narrate their identity. Black men too but we've lacking on on a gendered narration of our existence. (Dr. Tommy Curry is fixing that).
The moment however, they go overboard and start saying black men have privilege and power I tune the fukk out. If they deny black men face sexism, etc. If someone uses misogynoir as a talking point.to shyt on black men, fukk 'em.
I do ultmiately believe black people -- ALL black people ) are on the same boat.
You're agreeing with me while contradicting the chic in the video, you just don't realize. When she says that black women are attacked double because they're women, she's saying that black men are privileged, black women have it worse, and black men oppress black women. Those are the undeniable implications of her comment. You people just want to argue with me, you're not even unpacking her comment. If you agree that black women don't have it worse than black men then how do you reconcile her comment?
Yikes
These last two posters and the clowns who dapped the type of bytchass males that a matriarchy type community produces
