I'm trying to understand what the fukk happens to so many people from the 90s/2000s?
Like damn NO ONE could get a job? A career? Hit a community college? Learn a fukking trade?

Like everyone is hitting their late 40s/early 50s just BROKE? It's not making sense man.
they put all of their eggs into the music basket. Reading the biographies and learning about rappers from the past, I'm amazed at how many of them didn't want to get into movies. Eve didn't want to do XXX(which led to Barbershop and her own show). Ice T didn't want to do New Jack City(that led to his full acting career despite his cameos in Breakin films), Cube didn't really want to do Boyz in the Hood. MC Ren missed out on 2 opportunities. NWA were supposed to be Cube's homeboys on Boyz in the Hood and Ren was also supposed to play A Wax in Menace. A lot of them didn't want to do that shyt and thought that hip hop money would last forever. Even today, there are so many avenues of making money and a lot of people just want to be a rapper getting robbed by labels. You can make more money putting on and promoting local shows for rappers. Start a recording studio for bands and musicians(not just rappers) with the high quality acoustics, preamps, and compressors. Start a construction company that builds homes. The possibilities are endless. This rap shyt aint it for everyone. Especially when you're doing fad music.

Not in my world :beli:

People might of worn them but were apt for selecting any other Nike shoe

It elevated it's status
Places that didn't have Air Force One's were then running out of Air Force One's

The song put the shoe and the name "Aor Force 1" in cultural lexicon
I was wearing air force ones in high school. And I graduated in '95. I played ball in them from the mid 90s until the early 2000s. Everyone would tell me, "I've never seen anyone play ball in Air force ones except Sheed".

They needed to be reintroduced to those born in the 90s

We had light up sneakers so you had to give us a reason these super regular sneakers were cool

If they wrote on the album and didn't get credited why is anyone mad at them for demanding compensation?:dahell:

Doesn't matter if he put them on, helped them get deals, or anything else. If they worked on his album pay them for their work.

Because like Nelly said,he did favors for them without compensation that he didnt have to. And in the past 20 years, hes taken them on tour to put bread in they pocket and didnt have to or need to. So suing seems kind of wrong.

I like that somebody came in here and said that Nelly and them put Air force ones on the map, because I keep trying to tell y'all nikkaz....down south nikkaz been slow and backwards for 4ever.
And been taking sht from up north like they invented it.

NYers been wearing Air force 2s, uptowns every summer since I was a lil nikka. 1s and timbs was just a staple of our fashion.

When Nelly and them nikkaz made that song it was so funny to me cause I knew this was the first time bammas ever heard of them kicks.

Nah they made the song because it just became popular to them
You know what this is fair enough and probably closer to it. I'd have to ask cousins from the South are are Gen X. But I know my cousins who were 20-15 when this song dropped wore AF1...but I'm in Jersey.
