Too bad the xbox won’t benefit as it will be a fukking waste of time for that dog shyt consoleAs they should have been, all that exclusivity only favors the console it was on more than the game anyway.

ThisMulti platform as in primarily PC and Switch 2. Xbots don’t buy games like that.
If they bought FF15 as much as they should have, woulda got 16.
The breakdown of sales for FF15 were:
80% on PS4
11% on PC
9% on XBO
That’s why they allowed 16 to be exclusive.
Forspoken flopping killed them.
If the resources spent aren’t worth it?That 9% is a segment base that would have potentially bought the game
Business is all about reaching as many consumers as possible and exclusivity is counterintuitive to that.
You not getting turn based on a main FF anymore. Square made that clear. Most of Japan is on Switch. You have a lot of your key audience on that system. Only FF diehards bought XVI and VII Rebirth and how many diehards does FF really have anymore? You milked your product dry. Four years after original remake? FF is nothing like how it was in its prime. Splitting one of the most hotly anticipated remakes into a three part game. So many factors.
Make the next FF for Switch, PS, and PC. Push aesthetic over cutting edge graphics. Make it turn based Ike FFX/1-III or have ATB. Go back to basics. Make Kitase direct and hire Naora to write. Downscale Nomura esque hijinks. They do not help when you need organization in a time of battle. Potentially hire Sakaguchi as advisor or producer. He’s amazing at seeing talent and putting it in the right holes. Save FF. FFXVII should be a back to basics affair. Turn based is cool again. Baldurs Gate III just ransack shyt.
FF has more than a platform problem. FFXVI is on ps5 and pc and has been utterly forgotten. It was also the first major FF (and now Rebirth) I haven’t bought since becoming a fan with FFVII in 1997.
Save the franchise.
So now we’re seeing that the sales for it are trailing even behind 16 and now the company as a whole is struggling and the franchise isn’t growing as they’d like.If the resources spent aren’t worth it?
50 million in resources and sales or Sony cuts you the same check for exclusivity?
Probably what it came down to
I didn’t say they needed to continue exclusivitySo now we’re seeing that the sales for it are trailing even behind 16 and now the company as a whole is struggling and are looking to rid of that route anyways.
So what’s the reasoning going forward to continue exclusivity for the FF franchise?
Just want to add FF15 was released to pc 2 years later in a gen where even PC people had ps4.Multi platform as in primarily PC and Switch 2. Xbots don’t buy games like that.

They have spinoff and other series for turn based. They aren't looking for AAA level turn based games anymore. Then they don’t get my dollars.
It's like they fail to read the original post and just going by stan narrativesSquare: “We need to expand our reach to xbox customers”
Sony stan’s: “they talking about being their games to pc day one”
