I dont think you understand how it's done.

They can't just overtly call a bunch of BS calls, sometimes they do, but generally the refs can take control by altering the tempo/momentum.

I bet alot of the basic stuff the Spurs do will become fouls tonight. They wont let this game get out of hand.

Breh, you really think calling fouls on the Heat is a negative for the Spurs? :wtf: In order to actually disrupt the tempo they're going to have call a gang of fouls, which would put the Heat in the penalty.:aicmon:

Well the fix was in last year vs the pacers and extending that series to 7. Matter a fact the fix was in game 5 vs the pacers. Remember how they were handing out fouls to Lebron like he was Mark Madson.
:mjlol:

They let that BIG BUM ASS nikka HIBBERT GET AWAY WITH "STRAIGHT UP VERTICALITY"

fukk outta here

:laff:

@FAH1223 thanks for the visual evidence breh

Yes. :what:

Have you watched basketball? If a team gets running up down two or three times with momentum on offense, you can call a random foul on the opposition to stop the offensive teams' momentum.

Then they gotta stop, take the ball out on the side and go into a different half-court offense. Then, they may score and they may not. Or sometimes a TV-timeout is taken immediately after a foul call. In either case, you've purposely disrupted the team offensively.

So we just going to ignore the penalty situation? :stopitslime:
If this random foul strategy is so effective why wouldn't Spo just have his guys intentionally foul?:usure:

You're not thinking conservatively. Even if the team goes into the penalty, a few FT's here & there arent going to win a game once the team is out of rhythm and has no offensive identity. Once the momentum is gone and they're clanking shots, etc you dont have to do much else. They'll get a basket here & there and you can give em a FT here and there.

I'm not making this up. You can see it at times if you watch a game.

And Donaghey confirmed this long ago.

Far as ur other question, so coaches don't have bench guys they use just to get fouls and disrupt the other team?

It's a sad reality but if course there's some kind of manipulation going in with these games. The refs are allowed to have to big of an influence for there not to be. If you need recent proof just go back to the Lebron "5 fouls in 13 mins" game. People are saying that the Spurs are fukked tonight but I thought that the refs were determined to give the Spurs a boost in the last game. The Dpurs didn't need it but I think the refs gave double digit free throws in the 1st qtr.

They did

I understand the Spurs were more aggressive there but 11 FTs in the first quarter :wtf:

My point is if this was a sound strategy, then Spo would just do it. He has bums like Beasley, Oden, Jones on the bench who he could throw out there every now and then to foul.

And stop discounting how detrimental being in the penalty is. It completely changes your defensive approach as you can't be as aggressive.

Doesnt matter ur point, it's a FACT. :skip:

And beign in the penalty is not a big deal if you miss shots 3 outta every 4 trips down the floor, then just get a couple FT's. you're not scoring consistently enough to be in a rhythm.

And this doesnt even count whether or not your key plyers are in early foul trouble.

If you dont think refs can & do manipulate games, then I dont know what to tell you

So now getting out of rhythm = one of the most efficient offensive teams in the league missing 75% of their shots?
:deadmanny:

And I guess the Heat's offensive rhythm is somehow magically unaffected by these stoppages.:patrice:

Reading their forum, they actually think Joey Crawford on the road is a good thing

It is a good thing, because Spurs shouldn't win this game anyway...so yeah we getting a guy who gives us tough calls on the road...where we are going to get tough calls anyway...

They let Joey ref a home Spurs game though...and I might seriously just stop watching the NBA altogether...

Also no excuse for letting a guy ref a game that the other team has won 10 straight with him reffing...

Like...I don't see how the NBA doesn't just pick the refs that the teams have the closes thing to a .500 winning percentage to...

Even though Both Miami and Swag Antonio are good teams...winning 10 straight times with a particular ref on the floor is pretty much impossible to do without that ref giving you some calls
