Boston ain’t moving anything for Kawhi without an assurance he’ll re-sign. No reason to, they’re in the best position to win the east as is. And I doubt Ainge has given up hope on moving for AD eventually either. West ain’t getting any easier.

Philly is the team that makes some sense. Kawhi got ties there apparently and he’s got business in NY. Kawhi is a perfect fit there as well. But same story. Philly don’t wanna break up their core for a rental regardless of how good bro is.

Spurs should be looking at fleecing some desperate team willing to take a risk like OKC did. Minnesota, Washington, Toronto, Portland, or Miami maybe. Problem none of these teams really got the assets to entice you.

Spurs lost all their leverage today. Now

If San Antonio does trade Kawhi to Philly they should try and get Lessort's rights, dude is going to be real nice once he comes over. One of my favorite players from last year.

We can trade for him by deadline..we have Lebron and will be a playoff team, that is easy to convince than last year. Kawhi's biggest thing is market, no market is like LA..none! Spurs will either take Ingram and Hart or then can have Covington :mjlol:

Spurs fukked up. All they had to admit is that they misdiagnosed (even if you think you are right) Kawhi and make that the team message and give him all the time off instead of talking wild to the media.

Anyway, If nothing happnes in the next couple of days I expect trade talks to heat up again before training camp.

@pete clemenza what is our team doing? Making any moves?
Gotta trust Jerry and stand pat. I like what he's doing but its the Lakers day/week right now. This news is trumping everybody even the NFL and MLB. So I take nothing personal from it. Props to them and we gotta keep it moving. KD and Kawhi(maybe) will be FA next season so we just gotta develop the youngsters and hope we're a destination in the future. But I like the route we're in right now.

-on another note I did wish the owner Ballmer would've had a real GM in place years ago at least after the Houston choke in the playoffs. He waited way too long to make real moves by simply standing pat with Doc in charge of the entire franchise. But it is what it is:francis:
