Everyone from laker nation, to media and even management was sure PG13 was gonna sign with the lakers. While with the
Pacers he even came out and said don’t trade players for me, i’ll sign as a free agent. Obviously that didn’t work since he signed with the thunder.

Who’s to say Kawhi won’t do the same, if philly or celtics can get away without trading any legit pieces like tatum or simmons I think you have to take a risk for a one yr rental.

Kawhi on a healthy celtics team with kyrie, hayward, tatum, rozier, horford probably wins a few games against the warriors. Same with a healthy kawhi, simmons, saric, embiid.

If he goes to a game 7 with either of those two teams, who is to say he doesn’t end up signing with either team. If he wins MVP, and makes the finals that might convince him to stay.

I definitely would shoot my shot if I’m the celtics or sixers. Give up brown/another player/picks
Or give up fultz/covington/picks. Then worry about resigning him at the end of the season

I don't think we get him this season next year though he'll be here through free agency

How deep we talking? Because the way the roster currently stands, warriors or the rockets will knock them out in the 2nd round and if okc can improve, they can knock them out in the first round
Just throwing out hypotheticals.

There’s probably a more than 50% chance Kawhi does end up in LA.

But a year ago we were all just as certain that Paul George would be in LA right now.

Hey look, if anyone here thinks they can accurately predict the future, they need to start giving stock market tips.

He's going to L.A. and the spurs will get "something" for him because the Lakers will need the need the cap space moving forward. Plus LeBron talked to him.. why would he choose another situation than this? He'll be there for 2/3yrs then depending on relationships will determine if he reigns in 2021/2 :manny:

Duval County
Lakers can wait a year
The goal this year for LABron is more than likely just to make the playoffs and get climatized to the west coast system
In my opinion
:yeshrug:

I don't think Lakers fans will accept that. I think we all know this year ain't the year for them to compete, but I don't see it going over well if they get bounced out of the 1st or 2nd round. I see Dwight Howard levels of criticism heading his way if that happens, but that's just what I think.
