I played like 15 matches straight tonight.
The visuals look better than Splatoon 2, the character movement feels more fluid, the new weapons are creative and fun, and matches feel more aggressive, the way everyone is zipping around the map was kinda overwhelming at first.
Salmon Run adding the ability to toss eggs is a great way to speed up the game and add even more teamwork, I can tell I’m gonna drop 50+ hours in this alone.

what’s the campaign like in comparison to 2?

It's nice to see that progress carries over. I just hope those long intros are removed from the game
