I don't understand. DC is putting up with quality shyt and the New 52 been revamping up characters like Aquaman, Swamp Thing, and Wonder Woman into legit powerhouses and AAA writing teams. Even Superman is getting proper treatment in recent issues. Justice League is also dope read every month while Earth 2 and Injustice is :wow: in storylines.

Don't get me wrong, Marvel puts out quality books too, but DC still has that "boring" stigma that it is still ol fashioned and stuck in the 70s. So what gives?

Most of the new 52 aint shyt to be honest. I tried to be enthusiastic about it when it began but now...I'm so over it.

Even standout books like Wonder Woman are about to get creative changes so :manny:

Characterization breh. The stigma comes from having characters who seem inherently perfect with very few flaws. I'm not saying I agree but that's the general consensus: You go to Marvel if you want to read about real people and DC if you want to read about gods
And that is such a bullshyt stigma to have for DC today because that differentiation between the two companies was true in the 1960s and only in the 1960s. DC has been putting out flawed/humanized characterization of all of their characters since the 1970s.

Yeah, but Marvel subliminally tells their viewers to be content with their personal problems and never overcome them, outside of a few like Cyclops, Thor, and Captain America.

I disagree. I think a lot of Marvel's characters have come a long way in dealing with their personal issues. Now while they want them all to remain a certain age(and DC does too which is why they always reboot their universe) that doesn't mean they make them content. Tony has quit alcohol several times and actively sought help. Wolverine became a teacher and opened his own school which are two things not possible years and years ago. Peter is now a PhD and runs his own company. Reed has found a balance to his marriage and his work and Johnny has tried to settle down

And that is such a bullshyt stigma to have for DC today because that differentiation between the two companies was true in the 1960s and only in the 1960s. DC has been putting out flawed/humanized characterization of all of their characters since the 1970s.

I agree breh but that's the general consensus. It's just easier to get into marvel characters because they make them flawed from jump but that's just my opinion.

Breh most of DC's characters are aliens and most of the white ones have ethnic counterparts whom all have books or have been the focus of books at one time or another
:ohhh: o word? I'm thinking ol justice league bs. that's as far as I went with dc.
I use to want more legion of doom but it always seemed like dc made justice league the end all be all.
whatever the case I got into marvel and that satisfied my itch.

Yeah I believe Azzarello is gonna wrap everything up of his before he leaves.

Then David Finch's wife is gonna take over and she's done nothing but Zenescope books so that should be interesting to say the least :pachaha:
