im down with ranking kobe ahead of them all-time, but in real-time, they were considered better than dude during the peaks.

t-mac not even on half the lists. yall got him listed at SF or something?

By whom? :martin:

You sure do talk a whole lotta shyt. Peak/prime Kobe is better than peak/prime AI, and it's not particularly close. Only dumbass AI stans would argue otherwise.

Imagine thinking Iverson was better than Prime Wade, let alone Kobe freaking Bryant.

T-Mac better than Prime Wade? Like Wade wasn't carving up top tier defenses, in the playoffs when it mattered, while T-Mac was getting stomped lmao

Prime:
1. MJ
2. Kobe
3. West
4. Wade
5. Iverson
6. McGrady
7. Drexler
8. Gervin
9. Monroe
10. Hondo

All-Time:
1. MJ
2. Kobe
3. West
4. Wade
5. Hondo
6. Drexler
7. Allen
8. Iverson
9. Miller
10. Gervin

I got MJ, Kobe, West, Wade and Hondo based on being huge winners.

MJ was always the GUY and Kobe was top dog on 3 WCF winners as well as the 1-B/#2 option on 4 others.
West was the top guy on great Lakers teams that had trouble with the Celtics and Wade was also a top guy on a Championship team.
Hondo was a flatout winner but never the GUY on his teams.

I put Allen and Miller on the all-time list but never thought they were top shooting guards or big winners during their prime. AI was the GUY and won an MVP on mediocre teams that didn't win much. Gervin was probably the best offensive guard in the league during his time for a long time, but never won much.

McGrady and Earl were beasts in their prime but neither had long primes, although Monroe became an important part of championship teams.

Drexler feels right in the middle of both lists as his prime was longer and more well-rounded than most as the bottom half but not as hot as the top half. But he won late and a little early as both a sidekick and 1st option.

neither of these guys are sniffin my top 10 but do you think klay couldve did what reggie did as a #1 option on the pacers?
Definitely could not. Klay is an awesome talent, but I don't see him winning like Reggie did as the number 1 option. Scary to think that we may never know, because he and Steph aren't getting broken up anytime soon. But in the playoffs, he had ample opportunities to have breakout games but was simply good against some tough teams. Reggie teetered on unstoppable against some pretty tough teams too as the #1 guy.

Klay still has time though, and has the potential to be better than Reggie no doubt. Bigger, more athletic and better defender. Idl about the killer instinct or straight nastiness though...

:heh:

Are you referring to your limited experiences of being "out and about" of folk thinking that AI was better than Kobe? Nevermind the fact you're from PHILLY.
