im nigerian....as an african kid it was hard to make moves like that to be fresh until you get that after school job at the earliest to buy your own shyt..folks were like focus on your schoolwork not on what you wear
I have a son 2 and a daughter 6 I buy them "nice" clothes but they don't have to be name brand. I keep them with a couple fly outfits for if we go somewhere but for the most part they are just going ruin the cloths anyway. As my daughter gets older she is starting to ask for nicer things and attempting to be more responsible with them. I just bought her a pair of Lebron's and she takes care if them things like a puppy or something, so I guess as they get older I will spend more money on clothes, but that's only if they take care of the clothes.
Yeah. Imma get pregnant by a basketball player or a rapper so I know my kids will always have new shyt.

Hell no, I'll get them a couple of nice outfits to take pictures in but other than they can't appreicate it and they grow out of it too quick.
After that I will make sure they are nicely dressed and clean but all that name brand shyt has to be earned. You bring me a report card with As & Bs we can get some Hyperdunks, or those Jordan shorts. But I be damned if I'ma be buying my kid anything name brand while he getting Cs & Ds in school.
So basically my son can get fresh, but he has to earn it though.
