With men everything comes down to respect. As men when you are not respected you are taken advantage of. Being a pushover, a sissy or just being stern about what you do and do not like can work but there are people who have no respect for any of that and will spit in your face when you try to talk to them like a man.

There was a video a while back of a white guy going into the street to confront some brothas about their music being too loud. He was trying to talk to them logically like a good upstanding citizen but the brotha just was not trying to hear it. He made the mistake of talking about the brothas breath and got his glasses smacked across the world and back onto his face. Theres a time to stand your ground, back down and a time to knock someone on the ground. Being a man is knowing when its time to do these things.

So you don't think the fact that nikkas are regularly groping your woman is any reflection of

- the level of respect YOU command in public settings
- the quality of establishments you regularly frequent?

We have different ways of handling things. A man puts his feet on my chair i tell him to take it off. If he doesnt respect my wish he doesnt respect me and needs to be superman punched over my chair. I will put my fist right through his drink into his stomach. If he slugs me and i fall over the chairs below me, stompin on peoples heads and legs, my girl taking out the pepper spray and shes laying out the whole row n we outta there like poof.

I had older brothers and a man's man for a father, he taught us all how to box, defending myself was necessity to stop my toys from getting snatched.

I haven't been in a fight in years, doesn't mean I don't train for that 1 in a million chance.

As an adult, it's so amusing/disgusting to see these dudes my age and older, always getting into incidents, mostly out, in the club, whatever. Dumb, immature, alcohol and ego related bullshyt. I haven't been in a fight in years, at least 5. Not saying these people are throwingpbunches every weekend in the club, but it's just little things, confrontations, shoving, sometimes someone gets hit, but rarely. It's the mentality.

Ready to fight someone because the stepped on your $100 dollar shoes is asinine. Or accidentally spills a drink on you. Or hits on a girl you happen to be with. Whenever I witness or hear about this nonsense there is a lot of 'Well, it wasn't my fault, I didn't do anything...' I always respond 'Why don't these things happen to me'? Same club, same night, same people. I see very few reasons for getting all dirty and out of breath fighting another grown man.

honestly, that nikka pretty much asked to get his shyt rocked.

those type of nikkas will always exist, and usually get a pass cause people are pressured into taking the high road a lot more than they should.

you might think socking a nikka in the jaw for stepping on your shoes is primitive and dumb... but consider how that nikka most likely could've avoided getting hit and being humiliated in front of people, if he had've done something as simple as apologizing.

The point of the thread is what is the point of fighting unless you are going to make money. You have been given reasons that you are not accepting and now you are arguing with leaves instead of looking at the tree. There is a time to backdown and there is a time to fight. This is not the same for everyone but from my perspective (and i only speak for myself) it comes from certain forms of disrespect on up to defending my life.

What would have happened had you not pummeled the dude? What was the danger that prompted administering physical harm?
