What are your criteria for a main character in a jrpg? What makes it up for debate? What makes a jrpg an ensemble game?

i personally only like playing as a normal human, if the main character is monkey or has monkey like features i'm out.
I don't even like being an elf in a game.

I don’t see how people do that shyt. I’m on record saying I was cheering for the humans in “Avatar”. I hate blue people the most. fukk dr. Manhattan, fukk the blue man group, the smurfs, all of em.

My only exception would be a remaster of the old ass NES dragon ball z rpg… but I think his tail was gone by that point.

As long as the story, gameplay, and voice acting are good I don't really care the MC can be whoever

Speaking of which any decent/recent JRPGs anybody would recommend? Just finished Metaphor Refantazio so I wouldn't mind getting into something else.

Squall had the custom Pelle Pelle leathers. The other protagonists was on some other shyt…

…especially Zidane rocking whatever fashionova bullshyt he was into. I guess only the ladies petite collection has tail holes in ‘em’ though.
