LMAO, are you stupid? or maybe you just don’t have kids, pre schools did reopen, and mainly for essential workers which encompasses the lower paid, and furthermore parents and the works they do with kids has a much bigger effect on K preparedness as preschool is a combination of play, naps, and learning, all of which needs to be reinforced at home given the attention spans of kids
Then why were scores trending upwards before the pandemic you dumb fakkit?

That member is from that area, and the points about parental involvement/amount of words a child hears BEFORE entering school/etc are correct.

Black educators have been stressing this to parents for decades. The children from our communities tend to enter the public school system behind children from other races.

These kids just spent the most critical part of their learning lives away from the classroom due to the pandemic.

You can’t solely blame the parents here. This is an entirely new dilemma. It’s likely most of those kids were not behind prior to 3 years ago.

Then why is it only affecting the black kids doesn’t a pandemic affect everyone?:comeon:

Something...something black kids just learn differently:damn: (Which doesn't even make sense and racist af to begin with)

Something...something the school needs more funding:damn:

Something...something they need after school programs :damn:

Go to any school in NYC it's the same thing. Schools in Baltimore it's the same thing. Schools in Chicago it's the same thing. Schools in New Orleans it's the same thing. Schools in Florida it's the same thing.

Black people really will never really get it, until it's far too late :francis:

Which is? I know what you going to say, but humor me.

How can anyone have gone to school for at least 12 years and act like they don’t know there has always been a serious issue? Every since I was little nikkas were always worried about everything except for learning. I can go on and on about the list of shyt they were worried about, but schoolwork wasn’t one of those things for the most part. Nobody needed numbers in statistical form to confirm this…
