i love this dude... and at the bolded that's what i'm saying :snoop:

If he were gonna put every rapist in the dirt, he'd be a very, very busy person who'd not have enough time in his entire lifetime to complete his task.

Not saying it would be a bad cause, it's just that it would be impossible because of the numbers involved.

My girlfriend of 2 years was rapped when she was 16-17... It affects her till This day. I don't tend to think about it. I dunno I guess I really don't acknowledge it like I should....

I think alot of guys don't really think to much into it or about it because its something they know they will not ever have to deal with.

Not really a taboo subject in our society but something that is not really talked about, women who been through it don't want to relive it and guys don't really pay attention imo

Yes, there is still very heavy psychological damage. In fact, any kind of physical touching alone would legally constitute a battery, but it would be VERY psychologically damaging if it were as intimate of contact as sex itself, particularly because of the risk of sexual contact with an unwanted stranger.

Also comes the duress of being at gunpoint. The fear induced intimate act of sex would be VERY damaging to the victim and should be treated as such.
C/S.

it isn't about the sex as far as the physiological damage goes for most of the victims. it's the violation of personal space and stealing something very personal and intimate to a woman....her body. you no longer feel "safe" in your own skin.

i remember once when i was about 16 i got groped hardcore by this drunk a$$hole in a mosh pit at a concert and literally breaking down in tears when i got home. in a mans mind most of y'all would prolly think "big deal suck it up". but to a woman (especially a non promiscuous woman) it's extremely scary and threatening. i remember that incident fukked with me for a min afterwards all because some guy felt it was ok to invade a strangers personal space like it was his. :why:

Every time a discussion about rape comes up I find myself burning at both ends against both rapists and those that falsely accuse.

That 2% statistic that we would apparently "like" to see higher :wtf: is for rapes that are actually reported to the police. You can still claim rape to friends and family and ruin a man's life. And it does happen. There's no actual recording of it because the state doesn't get involved, but it does happen. Bad things can happen to people that could very well be innocent.

A guy tried to sexually assault my sister, but she knows Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and broke his arm. I know it doesn't change the past, but I'm just hoping you'd appreciate the story.

Feminists don't find men disposable. Men are their allies. Stop believing the right-wing hype on that.

Then why call it feminism and insist that women's problems are the result of a patriarchy? Want a correction to my statement? Women think that men that aren't a woman's benefactor somehow are disposable.

as someone who was sexually abused as a child (and as someone who is friends with more than one woman who has been raped), there's no other way I could feel about the idea of rape other than repulsed :manny:

There are men who find women disposable, but I don't judge all men based on that one idea.

Feminism isn't just about women, it's about both men and women being treated equally. There are many issues men deal with that have to do with feminism.

Then why call it feminism? Why not call it egalitarianism? And what men's issues does feminism actively address?

Because at the time it came about it was solely about women's issues. People seem to get caught in the right wing propaganda about feminism and think it's still old school about man-hating. It actually was like that at one time, but it hasn't been like that in over 60 years....

Men's issues that feminism addresses are gender roles. One specific example is the stay at home father. Society views a man who chooses to stay at home with his children as weak. There's nothing weak about this. Women are allowed to want to be sahm but a if a boy said he wanted to be a sahf when he grew up, he would be discouraged by his dad (who has to buy into that crap) and laughed at by peers.

Exactly what is wrong with a dude wanting to stay home with his kids? People see it as de-masculating... but it's nothing of the sort.
