Anyway on a base level, if the QURAN, the supreme authority religious text in Islam says Aisha (AS) is the Mother of the Believers, and the Shia call her all sorts of horrible names, can they really be Muslims? Can you be a Muslim and think the Prophet (PBUH) companions we're all kafirs, especially those closest to him? (Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman etc) Just based on that fact we can declare them to be totally in a whole other religion, which is fine, I'm tolerant of other religions, but it bugs me that people call them Muslims, when they are really NOT.

If the error in question actually meant anything it would be addressed. Dates arent calculated, there is no formula of jesus' lifespan making this year 2013. All it is is an imaginary reference point where we start counting from 1 back to infinity. They could choose any point in time and it wouldnt matter.

What is interesting is that they didnt come up with this talk for over 500 years since the supposed date. You have a very poor understanding of how this whole time thing works.

And some people have already changed this dumb error and call it BCE & CE. But heres a question you may want to ask yourself, if BC is before christ and AD is after death, then where are the years jesus supposedly lived? How do you account for civilizations that have calendars that dont use BC/AD or BCE/CE? Its just unimportant

AD = Anno Domini = In the year of the Lord (Latin). This is traditionally used to indicate the conception of Jesus, not his death. This is why there's no Year Zero.

I don't think he cares, but going from BC/AD to BCE/CE isn't that big a deal to me or most people. Not like going from Standard Measurements to Metric.
