Batista is the much better actor but in terms of popularity, it is Cena and not close

Better actor? It's he really though? What's his great acting performance? I think we think when a actor takes more serious roles that they are a better actor but Batista has as much personality in movies as a cardboard box
Yeah Batista takes more low key and serious roles but his comedy game is horrible... That Stuber movie was real corny... Cena has more natural charisma and personality and to me, has more screen presence.. Just because Batista does more non-traditional roles doesn't mean he's a better actor

People acting like Bautista was Robert Downey Jr. status in the marvel movies. 
Batista and Cena definitely could have had that Stone Cold/Rock face of the WWE at the same time thing going but it seems like Vince chose his guy to be Cena. Batista definitely felt like he was treated as the bigger star up until Vengeance 2005. When Cena got drafted to RAW and they put Batista on SD it was clear who they wanted the company to be built around. Doesn’t help that Batista got injured a couple months into his reign as WHC.
As far as over all bigger star? Imma have to go with Cena. Batista may have been apart of end game but at the end of the day Cena is a house hold name. You can ask anyone if they know John Cena and there’s a good chance they’ll say some shyt like “that wwe guy?” Try the same for Batista and they probably will be like “who?”

Batista wants to be a character actor, while Cena wants leading man parts(TOBIAS!!!) Both good for what they bring to the table. Cena has generational comedic timing but "Peacemaker" was proof that he could be just as nuanced and understated as well
Cena's theme song is more recognizable than Dave's face

Made the thread prior to Cena's DC show start poppin off. He was excellent and got excellent reviews. He was more than just a big dumb superhero. Very good performance.
