Blackstreet was maybe just a little brfore my time, as I was in middle school when these groups were on, Blackstreet was more mid 90's...but, of course their classic song will always be an iconic R&b record.

Hard to call it, I think 112 had the weakest full albums out of the remaining 3, 'Enter The Dru' had track after track of fire, and 'JE Heartbreak' was like my favorite r&b shyt ever at the time, but 112 had the massive singles like 'Only You' (Remix) and 'Anywhere', kinda like Next had 'Too Close'. I'd rather just discuss how ill all these groups were, and how much I love, loved, and grew up on their music then debate them.

Like I thought about first crushes, first loves, whatever listening to that music, I'll never not listen to those artists or albums...even though I hear that shyt on the old school r&b station, and just feel my age, ad nausea.

1. 112 and JE
2.dru hill (i only really fukked with their first two albums, the third was ehh, and the 4th don't exist IMO)
3. Next (same issue as dru hill, third album was trash and they trey songz'ed themselves by being way too stuck on sex)

4. Blackstreet, they have some classic songs, but I never was into them or their albums

Honestly, I'd say 112 for the simple fact that they maintained being constant with great to mostly good albums unlike the other groups listed here.

112 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the rest of them

112 never had a K-Ci, Jojo, or Dave Hollister but they all balanced each other were good production.

Blackstreet were only as great as that 1st Blackstreet album. The second album was alright but those cats needed Dave Hollister. And after that they never got it back together.

Jagged Edge was cool but outside of a couple of their singles, their music was neither here nor there to me though.

I never checked for Next outside of the singles "Butta Love" and "Close".

112 takes this crown in my opinion. :wow:

Oh yeah, I forgot to critique Dru Hill.

Dru Hill had great songs and could sing but their whole style of singing and production was so much of a clone of Jodeci, it was almost like a parody in some ways.
