Trust me, I already know how it is with Hollywoood bias. But the broader question is how are we going to change it and when are more people going to speak out and see the Bias for what it is instead of just saying "Oh well, this is how Hollywood is". I'm glad George Lucas spoke out on this cause if Spike said the same thing (As he has in the past) he would of gotten crucified in the media.
I agree the Black power brokers in Hollywood need to come together so we can get our own stories out but it's not as easy as people think it is. Movies cost a lot of money. Again my frustration is Hollywood racism continues and the more people just accept it, the more it won't change.

Movie A: Costs 40 million, but caters to whites so it will make 60 million.
Movie B: Costs 40 million, but caters to blacks, so it will make only 20 million.
What sane business man would make a movie that caters to blacks? When there is pay off is so small? Blacks don't make up more than 12% of the population. A black film would need to have a small budget in order to be profitable.

Of course, but it's not simply a neutral matter of relatability that white audiences would not support a film with Black protagonists in many circumstances.
The movie was great from an entertainment standpoint.
The bolded part, just like Inglorious b*stards is purely a fantasy. This small amount of entertainment is not going to change or give retribution for the reality of the harsh past. We should not lose sight of this. Its the reason why white people can clap at the end of the movie like , instead of being like
Now, about Spike Lee...I agree, he should have watched the movie first. QT did a good job mixing genres (blaxploitation and spaghetti western). I give him major props for that. He could have been more raw, like
a rape or sex scene with slaves
That would have had some people really upset, things were implied instead.
Had Spike Lee watched the movie, then he could attack things on the level of what Tariq said which I consider to spot on. There were subliminal messages that QT was sending to black people, white people, and others that hate us. What Tariq said are the kinds of things I notice in Hollywood, because we all know that Hollywood be on that bullshyt when it comes to black people.
