but I'm sayin, it just seems weird to say that something that's basically inevitable is a "shame"

in general I don't know why people cling on to the past so much. the best you can do is learn from it, but other than that, time only goes in one direction

When I said it was shame I was speaking from a more personal perspective. I personally love history. So to me it's a shame that my daughter will never have that direct link to history books. IMO theres difference clinging and accepting one's past.

No that's true but my point is I don't think Jewish people would allow it which is why "b*stards" had ZERO concentration camp scenes.

maybe it didn't fit into the plot. there's been plenty of movies that show concentration camps. I didn't hear the joooze say much about Magneto's backstory in Xmen

According to Sarah Silverman, Spike Lee isn’t respecting the code of artists that declares that any and everything can and will be used in composing creative works.

Lee recently sparked controversy after he deemed Tarantino’s latest piece of cinema, D’Jango Unchained, “disrespectful to (his) ancestors” due to the use of the N-word over 100 times.

While out in Los Angeles, Silverman was asked what she thought of Spike’s refusal to see D’Jango

According to Silverman:

“Doesn’t it take place like during slavery? Wouldn’t it be odd if they didn’t have that horrific word in it?”

“I think slave owners said it a lot, that’s why it has a stigma to this day.”

While Silverman does claim to be a huge Spike Lee fan, she also acknowledges that he has some strange opinions when it comes to film.

“I love Spike Lee, we were just talking about School Daze, but he’s a got a lot of mishegas (yiddish word for “crazy weird isht”) with art. I think you can’t really tell art what to do”

The goal of the Basterds was to get 100 Nazi scalps and kill Hitler.

Why would there have been concentration camp scenes?

And speaking how many Jew slurs were in that movie?

What slurs did the Nazis have for Jews?

Kike an American term, originating from immigrant Jews to Ellis Island who would sign their name with an O. The yiddish word for circle is kikel so when they would sign their name with an O, people would say "We have another kike"

I mean wasn't one of the goals of Hitler to make the term Jew a dirty word?

The movie takes place during the Holocaust, that's why there should of been concentration scene to accent why the "Basterds" were doing what they were doing. Just like we have a plantation scenes in this to accent why Django is going after the slave owners. In "b*stards" it's like QT is saying "OK we all know the holocaust is Bad, so let's just skip that stuff". But in Django he's saying "Slavery is Bad but let me show you why it's Bad". That's my point. Hollywood wasn't having no parts of any concentration camp brutality but Plantation Brutality? Sure go for. SMH. And for the record as I said, I am seeing the movie this weekend. I do not have the stance that I will not watch "Django", I will see it but again I am not paying for it.

The first scene of IB has
a firing squad go in a a some Jewish families

To kill slave owners you have to go on their plantations.

You don't have to go to concentration camps to kill Nazis. There was only 8 Basterds. Were they supposed to be sneaking in, doing covert missions into concentration camps killing a bunch of Nazis and escaping, over and over again.

Their strategy was ambushing Nazis doing routine shyt in the open. Their goal wasn't to free any Jews in camps, but to kill Nazis. Jews were frightened of the Basterds because they could pop out of anywhere and destroy small packs.

How many WW2 movies show Concentration camps though? :beli:

IB was a movie about the war not the conditions of concentration camps.

b-b-but how many Jew slurs are in that movie :troll:

the funny thing is he brought that movie up already:
Dudes brain might explode if dialogue towards blacks like this was in Django

"I would like so much to reach out to you and touch you in your loneliness. What would it be like, I wonder? What would be wrong with that? I realize that you are not a person in the strictest sense of the word, but, um, maybe you're right about that too. Maybe what's wrong, it's not us, it's this... I mean, when they compare you to vermin, to rodents and to lice. I just, uh, you make a good point. You make a very good point. Is this the face of a rat? Are these the eyes of a rat? "Hath not a Jew eyes?"
