The movie was nowhere near as bad as the critics are saying. It's better than the 2 Venom movies, and a few of the MCU flicks.

However, it's not great. It's pretty cookie cutter, very cookie cutter, play-by-numbers...but Jared Leto, Matt Smith & Jared Harris do their thing. I think this will find an audience later.
