It is solid. 8/10. Playing it now.

Cons
  • Combat could be a little more precise.
  • Open world doesn't feel as immersive as other open world games; the repetitive car model for instance, amongst other things.
  • Beating missions really only requires trial and error rather than really thinking it out.
  • Story was a little goofy...but when you have so many villains to tie in, I guess it's the best you could hope for.
  • AI is more than a little dumb on some missions.
Pros

  • Moves and fights like I believe Spiderman fights more than any other Spiderman game I've played.
  • Some of the boss missions were truly epic and I wish I knew I couldn't play them again without saving or replaying the whole game over again.
  • Traversing the city is more fun than any open world game I've ever played. Just wish there was more interaction with the actual city.
  • Graphically one of the best games I've ever played. It's really a beautiful game.

ya extremely repetitive game more so than usual...I just happened to REALLY enjoy the combat and swinging around so I didn’t really get bored w/ it until the 3rd DLC...it helped that spidey is one of my favorite comic book characters...if it wasn’t a spider-man game I’d be far more critical of the game overall

I like how the combat captured the chaotic flow of a classic spider-man fight against random goons...especially when the combos become more intuitive and you don’t have to think about what to do next...there were times when I’d just completely lose myself in a battle and get into a zone

apart from the AWFUL sneak sections this game was great

the DLC however was trash imo

That’s how I am in the Arkham gsmes, jumping from one enemy to the next, with the dexterity of a ballet dancer. I’m unable to get into a similar flow while playing Spiderman. Maybe it’s because I only just beat Fisk? Does the combat become more manageable, and Spiderman more maneuverable, with longer playtime? :patrice:

watch this clip...if you’re not impressed by it then the game just simply may not be for you...and that’s not a knock/jab

Horizon Zero Dawn was AIGHT. It aint a bad game, but damn it was just an above average game, not no game of the year type shyt like they was saying.
Yeah, it wasn't bad, keeping my attention for longer than a mediocre title would. But, it was too standard, too focus tested, clearly following the footsteps of your average UBISOFT open world title instead of laying down its own footprint. I think there's a definite foundation there, assuming a sequel is made, for them to follow up with something a lot more engaging and unique. :francis:

Yup, I have no interests in booting it back up to play the DLC either. I didn't want DLC, when I finished that game I was done with it. They need to take a page from Red Dead 2 honestly with the play style. They can easily adjust that type of game world into an RPG.
