The Spot was on some Joker / Batman shyt
The Spot's spots reminded me of Vulture's matter phase shifters from Homecoming, as well as Doctor Strange's intradimensional portals. Speaking of Homecoming, the first time Peter encounters Vulture's tech is when some goons are using his plasma guns to rob an ATM. Peter pops in the bank, waits a second while he thinks of something clever to say, clears his throat, and is like
Here, The Spot is robbing the ATM, and when confronted by the Jamaican Mr. Delmar stand-in, says "everything is cool, man. All good. Just forgot my PIN number."
Ned from the MCU movies, who I've learned is based on Ganke, pleads with Peter to be his "guy in the chair." He eventually becomes the guy in the chair during Homecoming.
And there's a funny joke about it in No Way Home.
It's the complete opposite here. Miles wants Ganke to call the cops to let them know there's a bad guy in the alley. Ganke is like
it's a slippery slope that will lead to walkie-talkies, synchronized watches and a Spider Signal. He caps it off with letting Peter know "I'm not your
guy in the chair."
The helicopter scene in the prologue felt like a reference to the scene in Spider-Man PS4 when you take down a chopper of Demons. Gwen even zips through the chopper in the same way that Peter does in the game. Only, she saves 2 New York cops in the process, while Peter disposes of the demons. And then Gwen, Miguel and Jessica web the chopper up as it's crashing to the ground, saving everyone in the process, which is exactly what happens in the game, minus the help of a couple of Spider-Men.
