They must have developed both movies at the same time. I know usually animation takes a long time to create, plus the writers strike puts everything on hold.

So If they got all of the script writing done, most of the rendering done and already got the voices recorded then yeah they can make that date.

Ending on a cliffhanger is not unusual, and I'm cool with cliffhangers. However every movie/story should at least have 3 acts and this one did a hard stop at the end of the 2nd act.
Ending aside, I still enjoyed the movie and I actually plan on seeing it again tonight

Did anyone else get a free poster when they saw it yesterday?

Writers strike is now.... nothing to do with this .. as long as they dont edit any scenes.

The date is March 29, 2024.. remember thsi was one movie that split into two.. Not sure when it split but they developed both simultaneously plus COVID also changed the release date..

That's the thing, reshoots (in the case of animation, re-editing scenes) happen all the time in movie production. Therefore, if the producers want to change anything, even if it's small, the writers strike will make them hold off on it, delaying the release.

i know what you mean.. but several projects are going to filming with the scripts they have in hand .. you can reshoot but you cant rewrite....

I wonder if adlibs counts as rewrites..

I know with some animation the voice recording is first and the animation is after the fact so theres a possibility the vocals are already in the can

Movie was phenomenal

Just the simple scenes of them swinging across the city is overwhelming.

One thing origin movies can't do is be completely free. They have to dedicate a serious amount of time to "I can do that?" and "learning on the job"

In this one they constantly use their powers to creatively change the camera angle, pov, etc etc... without ever narratively drawing attention to the fact they're constantly hanging upside down or sideways on walls and buildings.

Judging off the trailer I thought his parents would take a backseat, but they are actually still very present. And his mom really stood out in this one, she was just kinda there in the first

I don’t really remember mom in the first one but she was heavy in this

She had me weak :russ:
