Okay this shyt has me even more hype now. And I was already going in with unfairly heightened expectations.

Yea I liked what I saw. My concern was the Amy Pascal Sony exec with her girl power cheerleading would try to pull a Kathleen Kennedy with Gwen as her “Rey”.
But going by the trailer it’s safe to say Miles and his fam as the backdrop are clearly (and rightfully) the focus of the film. Not a love story, tho it’ll clearly be an ongoing subplot between him and Gwen.

i like the premise of “every spider-man has taken on the role with the expectation of taking on a massive loss” every spider-man so far except Miles.
Its why he’s at war with the other Spideys because hes the only one that isn’t willing to sacrifice a loved one for the greater good.

we even see this in spider-man 2018, when he has to sacrifice Aunt May to save New York. Coincidentally Miles father dies in that game also

Fixed.
Miles lost his uncle, so he's already dealt with sacrifice. So i think the conflict in this movie is moreso Miles discovers Miguel's end goal involves some super shady shyt that all the other Spider-people have accepted as a necessary evil. But he wouldn't.
