It's eerie you brought up Cyclops because I almost put him in that post as a prime example of a storied character with a big impact in comics that was absolutely garbage and forgettable onscreen. Even his biggest stans admit his onscreen was trash, so it's definitely not a 1:1.I completely disagree with all of this and find it highly subjective. Rather, it's getting into arguing comic book neckbeard logic... which is outside the scope to what i'm talking about.
Exactly. You ask the comic book community (majority neckbeards, mind you) who is more beloved, Miles Morales or Cyclops... Cyclops is winning that. But who is the bigger cash cow?... well that's a different question and a different measurement scale.

Miguel. I never liked 2099 anyways. Mf was angry for no reason most of the time. and I see how they channeled the comiccacs reason to Ultimate Miles "breaking the canon". Blaming Pete's death on Miles. Getting piss about Miles having parents and speaking Spanish. Cacs tried their damnest to cancel Miles before he even got started.
