Saw it again today -with closed captions.

How Sway? :dwillhuh:

I gotta stop smoking weed. shyt had the hd version for the new one and I was wondering how it got leaked so fast…. shyt was wild bait but fukk it. Now my mind is refreshed and brand new to watch the new one frfr…..

I’m :laff: cuz I almost did the same thing. I downloaded two torrents. The 1st one I clicked on was in crystal clear HD and had chapter markers. I started skipping ahead and thought “man this looks a lot like the first one.” I saw Uncle Aaron and was like “damn they brought this dude back?!?” And then I saw the Kingpin and realized this was the 1st damn movie :dead:

2nd link worked fine tho.

This is great, but man it really shouldve been hitting those 700 mil numbers :francis:

Still glad it hit this milestone though

Fam 600ms is phenomenal it more than doubled into the spider-verse. If it released now it might've pulled it off. There was just too much competition everywhere

It’s all about perspective

600+ million on a 100 million budget is impressive

Note that MCU/DCEU/Pixar/Disney Live Action movies typically cost 2-3x more, with greater marketing resources and campaigns.

Indiana Jones = 300m budget
Little Mermaid = 250m
Flash = 200m
Elemental = 200m
Onward = 200m
Light Year = 200m

For a non-children-targeted animated movie on a budget, it over performed, including outperforming the above.

Depending on the rollout and marketing, I could see Beyond the Spider-Verse doing 700-900+million globally. If the quality/word of mouth is comparable to the first two films (which is almost a given) + the marketing/hype train of it being the "finale" Spider-Verse film hits... it will be a lock for 400+ million domestic imo.

The x-factor will be overseas. First one made 185m overseas. Second one is currently at 267m. Foreign markets can be a bit unpredictable but if an American movie is marketed as a "big deal" + has the strong word of mouth to validate, the foreign masses will follow in droves.

Why are people on some sites saying Gwen is trans?

What I miss? :dame:
When the film came out last month, a trans woman made a tweet claiming that Gwen's color scheme in the film (blue, pink, and white) meant that she was trans. I don't know if the trans woman who made the tweet was being serious or not. However, it's false. Gwen isn't trans, lol.

Some people took the tweet at face value (mainly some LGBT people) and ran with it despite it not being true.

She's not, ppl just looking for a way to backdoor (:dame:) Miles into being LGBT.

They point out that Gwen has a trans-lives matter poster in her room and that key colors of her universe (white, pink, light blue) are apparently similar to that of the trans flag.

What they conveniently leave out is she also has a black panther political party poster in her room as well... and that in her original Spider-Gwen run (2015) the very first artist used a neon-color palette (heavy on white, pink, light blue) to illustrate the comic.

They just don't want Miles to have a conventional love interest.
