I have started watching qb tape from showtime mahomes in college and comparing it to other guys from time to time. When I see they have to manage an offense with low resources.
.with that this kid rattler.
Cones across with the same type of thing mahomes had in college.

having to ramp up and manage an offense. With lesser resources than the larger schools.

in that i see a bunch rattler does similar to mahomes.

not trying to hitch a full wagon with a cheerlead procession.

just a talent to look out.
for if they get a fair shot. From a squad in the league. Where getting a fair shot.
is not built on the world being fair.

I’ve been cheering on this kid and his come up. He has been humbled and changed by life. I’ve been cheering on the Saints as a Cowboys fan for this kid and I wish him all the best.

Him not being QB1 off the bat could be good for him just like it was for Mahomes. Let him soak it up and improve his craft rather dump all these expectations on him day one.

This isn't an attack on you but rather this "humbling" I keep hearing from the masses about athletes. Heard the same about that Noah Lyles kid. Heard folks say the same about Rattler. He was no more cockier than Baker Mayfield and there wasn't a soul out here saying he needed to be "humbled." Wish fans would just stfu about that shyt. You can't make it that far as an athlete/entertainer/etc and be humble. Takes a high level of ego to do that shyt. Can it get out of control an annoying? Of course, but this whole humbling shyt lately reeks of nobodies on some "how dare they" type shyt. Trust, Mulatto Hulk is still as arrogant as he was in HS or at OU. Difference is he isn't all up in the cameras showing it like he used to.

They need to say what occurred or leave the guy alone.

They asked for a reality football TV show witth kids and got what they asked for.

When was the number one ranked kid in any sport accommodating?

If a socallef franchise is a franchise

There should be no reason why this kid is not worked up to succeed.

Ths steelers should have got this kid.

You inferred a lot by why what I said but don’t know what I actually think.

I don’t know what happened in the past. I just like down to Earth people that aren’t too flashy. Rattler minds his business. He’s not making demands or stuff like Caleb Williams. I like Caleb too and I’m cheering for his success as well but I just naturally go for figures and athletes that grow into their leadership and have a quiet confidence. I try to model myself after people that are sure in their skills but don’t have to be a braggart about it. I admire people like that and try to emulate their style. I gravitate towards people like that and not people that make it all about them. It’s why I prefer Steph over LeBron or Hakeem over Shaq. It’s why I also love Mahomes. I don't like people like Noah Lyles. I prefer Simone Biles type athletes who, while being the greatest in the world, don't make a fuss about it. To me that is true confidence. Anything else screams insecurity to me. If you're really the best you wouldn't have to be loud about it because you have nothing to prove. I prefer people and figures like that.

This kid getting drafted late with all his talent and him being humble despite knowing what he can do is a story worth cheering for. That’s all. Nothing more, nothing less.

You're free to like who you like but I feel like people who want to see talented people fail in order for them to be "humbled" are the ones who are insecure.

These are athletes who have to compete for a living. If they're great and have no problem telling their competition that then it's cool as long as that attitude is on the field of play.

I don't want to see these athletes fail. I think that's pretty fukked up. I'm glad for Noah for example and defend him when I see people say he got bronze to clown him. But he's just not the type of athlete I personally like to cheer for. I won't root against him but I admire people like Simone or Steph or Hakeem more. People that get things done but live their life in peace. Doesn't mean they're any less elite. I just like quiet confidence. Someone that yaps all the time just gets annoying. :yeshrug:

He was also an INT machine who thought his arm could overcome everything. That’s a coaching or talent issue. Not a humbling thing in the sense we’re discussing. He got drafted late due to his play. He wasn’t an off the field distraction and wasn’t a on the field one from what I heard about him at SCar. I know he felt a way when he got replaced at OU and who wouldn’t when every time you made a mistake, the student section was chanting for your backup to get in the game. You interpreted a lot of what I wasn’t saying by your reply.

He got done dirty by Lincoln Riley while at OU. I felt he regressed his second year there only to find out that Lincoln‘s attention was elsewhere. He was he was one of the most accurate quarterbacks I ever saw come out of high school. I wish him the best.

And this was what I was trying to relay in my reply. I give OU fans a lot of shyt for caring a bit much about Riley since he left but the way he handled that entire QB situation was as bad of a job that I’ve seen a HC handle it. Kid has unbelievable arm talent, he’s just a gun slinger. If he had a coach like Andy Reid in the pros and not Dennis Allen, potential would be unlimited.

That's true, but I watched Derek Carr played QB last year, Therefore, I'll ignore everything you say about him.

Rattler da future. :wow:
